I believe that I have recently developed CU. What was your suggested treatment for the patient depicted in the photo? I have been trying loratadine 10 mg (alevert) but it is not helping. I have heard zyrtec can be quite effective. Do you agree?

Cetrizine is marginally better than loratidine in CU. However it is important to confirm the diagnosis (as it is relatively rare). It is also important to avoid spicy food, emotional stress, occlusive dressing and hot showers.

Thank you for your response. I am trying zyrtec now and it seems to be more effective than loratidine. I am also taking zantac to block the H2 receptors. Thanks again.
